The theme of the Educational Development Centre (EDC) for the 2023/2024 Academic Year “Internationalization and Teaching Quality Improvement”

EDC will collaborate with different departments of the university, the President’s Office, University Library, Information Technology Development Office, the Research and Technology Administration Office, our senior faculty members and Teaching Excellence Award Winners to organize a series of targeted sessions/ talks/ conferences/ forums/ workshops /etc. for our teachers (especially for new teachers) and PhD students.

Professor Shuying Li , Doctor of Philosophy in Education from the University of Alberta, Canada, Dean of the Graduate School of Education of Shenzhen University, Distinguished Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Yangtze River Scholar Chair Professor, High-end Foreign Culture and Education Expert of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, and has worked at home and abroad as well as in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. He is engaged in teaching and scientific research in eight universities, and has served as vice president or president of three of them. Professor Li Shuying has mentored more than 20 doctoral students in mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR and Canada; he has chaired and participated in many major domestic and foreign scientific research projects, with a total project funding equivalent to more than 30 million yuan; he is an international education phenomenon He is a leader and promoter of learning, as well as a developer and promoter of classroom learning research models. He also conducts in-depth research in the fields of higher education management and university development.
